Junior Nationals 2019
My middle sister Emilee is a fitness competitor, and I went with her, my mom, and little sister to Illinois for her national competition where she earned her IFBB Fitness Professional status!!
Emilee cheered for eleven years with the last three of those with DSE Rage, and traveling to all of her competitions is how I got so involved in the allstar cheerleading industry. After she retired from cheer she went completely into focusing on fitness, and it’s been so cool watching her journey! She competed nationally in 2017, but took some time to progress before coming back in 2019 ready to win.
We got there a few days early and got to watch her routine practice, and I had a photoshoot with Brenna, a cheerleader in Illinois! :)

Saturday was prejudging. We got all fancy and ready and headed over to watch Emilee give the best performance of her life!!!! It was absolutely incredible. It was such a rush of emotion when she got off stage, we were all so proud of her.
After we got some food and celebrated a bit, we did a little photoshoot! We usually have a shoot before shows but she wanted to just take pictures there this time. It was so fun!

Sunday was finals! We got all ready for the day (finals called for much fancier looks) and headed over to the competition. NPC Fitness had awards right after the different classes were finished, so we watched her routine and then pretty much right after got to see her win her division, earning her IFBB Pro Card! It was seriously amazing. We all cried and cheered so much and then ran out of the venue to hug her and celebrate! <3
After celebrating, we went out for a delicious cheat meal! It was super fun going out all fancy and felt sooo good to be celebrating such an exciting time. :)
The next day Emilee had a photoshoot for NPC News Online, and once she was done we did some shopping at a nearby outlet mall. :) This trip was so much fun!! It was so amazing to be able to see my sis accomplish one of her dreams and really awesome to be able to capture all of these moments.
Now she’s going to take some time to develop her physique (IFBB Fitness has a posing round also) and strengthen her routine skills before making her pro debut. I can’t wait to see her future in this sport, she is seriously insane. <3
