Orlando 2019
WORLDS 2019!!! This was my seventh time in Orlando, and wow what a trip to remember.
It seems like every photo adventure gets better and better and I don’t know how that happens! I’m so grateful every time, and dang that means some of the best times haven’t happened yet.
This year I stayed in an Allstar Resort, which was super convenient for shoots. It was really fun to be in the center of all of the Worlds action too. Being surrounded by the colors of the resorts was just the best, and I really brought more color into my photos this year! I love bringing bright personality to my shoots to add more energy in person, and incorporated a lot more of that in what I captured. I was super happy with all of the albums, and all of the cheerleaders were too! :)
I loveeed running into so many of my friends walking around the resort and being able to capture action of teams practicing. I haven’t been in the Worlds arena since I shot action for Everything Cheer Magazine, so taking pictures of practices is kind of how I experience the competition now! It’s a different side of things, and I love it just as. much. I flew in on Thursday and got to see my favorite again, Emma from Oregon Dream Teams! She is just so fun and we met at Worlds last year. I love her and her mom and it was so awesome shooting in her new uniform this year. Her photoshoot was before all of the action of the competition started, so we felt like we had the Allstar Sports Resort all to us for the photos.
She’s the best!
This was the perfect shoot to start the Orlando adventure.
After Emma’s shoot I went right to the USASF swag tent for my annual pin! I am obsessed with the 2019 Worlds pin. I’m getting so many pins I decided to move them from my camera strap to a lanyard this year because it’s getting a little heavy lol.

Started the day watching some practices at Allstar Sports. It was so fun seeing USA Starz, they looked absolutely amazing! My favorite shots are featured, but click on the thumbnails to view all of the images.

This was the day it POURED in the morning, so I moved my shoot with London Heat 5Alarm back a little bit during the day. I was really happy they were able to be flexible because I was sooo excited to meet them all the way from Canada! Shoutout to Caitlyn for organizing it, she’s the nicest and was so awesome communicating with all the time :) This team is so talented too, and I’m obsessed with their uniforms!
Got some pics of my own at ESPN, outside the arena with the sun before 5Alarm’s shoot and then in front of the globe after it was over! If you click on this photo you can see the rain that started pouring right as I went to stand by the railing and I think it’s literally the funniest thing ever hahaha.
Next I got to do a shoot for CheerLyfe! I was super excited to meet these girls and take some really fun photos together for the brand’s website & content! It was really fun with so many different looks and places to explore around the Allstar Resorts.

I was so excited to see Utah Fusion Inferno at Worlds again this year! Shooting with this team in 2018 was one of the best experiences and I was super happy they wanted another team photoshoot. It was awesome seeing so many familiar faces and some new team members too! We went for a different look this year and did pictures at ESPN to capture more of the competition vibe.
After Inferno’s shoot I headed back to Allstar Sports and was able to catch some practices of Spirit of Texas teams! Royalty is one of my favorite teams in allstar cheer because #1 hi they’re amazing but also I captured their World Champion awards moment in 2016 and that was so incredible. Spirit of Texas has some powerful performances and I’m such a fan.

The morning with Desert Storm Elite Hail friends was one I most looked forward to in Orlando! It’s always fun shooting with groups of friends because they have so much fun in front of the camera and you get to be so creative as a photographer. I was obsessed with the colors everywhere and these girls are all so pretty! It felt like it was about 10000000 degrees outside haha so they were really awesome at shooting through the heat. It must be an Arizona thing. ;)

Then I got to end the trip with such a fun surprise — helping the Cheer Sport Great White Sharks debut their new Rebel Athletic uniform! Isn’t this such a beauty? I’ve loved shooting with Great Whites in Dallas the past two years, and when I was in Orlando I got a message from their coach asking if this reveal would be possible! It was the craziest thing, I got on a bus so fast to ESPN and arrived right as one of their gym’s other teams performed finished performing… They were waiting for me while Alicia was speed changing and we were all kind of hiding in the trees so nobody would see us! This all happened in about five minutes before they ran back inside for another team, and I went back to my hotel to send over the photos on the drive to catch my flight.
It was so fun being one of the first to see this uniform, and such an honor to photograph it! :) Great Whites won Worlds, and I was so beyond excited for them! They are so amazing and such nice people.
So grateful for Orlando 2019!
