The Portrait Project
One of my photographer friends created The Portrait Project, and I got to be a part of it!
“You may or may not know, but last year a group of friends started The Portrait Project (TPP), which at its core is a way for communities to come together and create art through portrait photography.”
There were tons of photographers and tons of people with mini shoots. It was cool because I just showed up as a photographer, and the project managers had put everything together already. It was like one of my travels for allstar cheer comps but only with the shooting and editing. :)
I loved meeting so many different people — there were friends just like me and others I never would have met if it wasn’t for TPP. Shoutout to Maggie who was one of my favorites, and she always comments on my insta posts now.
I was a photographer who got to shoot mostly portraits outside the colorful backdrops, which was super cool. I loved this project because I got to use more of a creative, trendy style rather than more of the traditional one like normal. Check out some of my highlights below! I’ll link the website too so you can see the behind the scenes video from the event & pictures from the other photographers.
