Feb. Update & Future Travel
Hey friends!!
Here's an update on this month's activities for Snapped! by Becca Clark, as well as a little about why I've been MIA on Insta since New Year's Day.
PERSONAL -- January was filled with tons of things going on in college.
I recently applied for a concurrent major at ASU! Biggest shoutout to my career coach in W. P. Carey because I needed a lot of guidance and loved how everything turned out. Hoping to be accepted into the second degree program sometime this month, keep your fingers crossed!!
Last semester I joined Devils' Advocates, an organization where students are able to volunteer their time to give campus tours. It is SO FUN, which you heard about in my "IT'S 2018" blog post. :) January brought the opportunity to be a part of the Training Committee in Devils' Advocates, where I was able to work with members of the Executive Board on developing a new training rubric for future tour guides. We had Spring Selection halfway through the month, and it was so much fun to interview and score potential members this semester! I feel like I went through the process forever ago even though I only joined last September. Also, I was nominated by the organization to be Advo of the Month!! Isn't that the cutest thing ever! I could not stop smiling, and I got the cutest little pitchfork pin to wear on my tours.
Another application too -- I applied for my first "real" job! I've been fortunate enough to have been way successful with my photography and working with my family's custom apparel company to not have had to work on top of those. Now that I'm getting close to finishing school, I want to get some outside work experience as well. I applied to be a Student Director at Camp Carey, a camp for incoming business freshmen at ASU. I loved Camp as a freshman and facilitating last summer was the best, so I'm way excited to have gotten an interview for the Director position. Now... FEBRUARY.
This month is going to be one of the best.
New month, new goals, new ideas. It was so fun to focus on school and being social in January, but I totally took an unexpected break from social media for Snapped! by Becca Clark. I love sharing on Insta because creating my feed and sharing the art I get to create with such cool people is just SO FUN. My goal this February is to keep a better work-life-school balance, or at least not go alll month without posting haha. We've got some pretty exciting travel coming up, so it should be pretty good. Last month, I spent a lot of time on Pinterest looking for inspiration for new shoots and potentially a new look for my brand, and am soo excited to bring these new ideas to life.
Onto the exciting news!!!! You saw my Instagram post about the exciting news, right?! Snapped! by Becca Clark is TRAVELING this February! You came here, to the blog, to see the dates & locations first and you for sure are in the right place. So excited to bring the opportunity to shoot portraits with cheerleaders in.....
